6th year B (6ºB) Science

People joining hands around the world

We are developing an environmental campaign. We divided ourselves into groups of 5 or 6.

Each group chose a topic to research.

The topics we researched were :

             GLOBAL WARMING
             ANIMAL EXTINCTION
             POLLUTION
             DEFORESTATION.

We looked for information related to the causes, consequences and possible solutions for our environmental problem.

The main objective of the campaign must be to raise                          awareness of the problem.

We used the photographs, slogans and information that we found to enrich our campaign and to hopefully convince our classmates of the need to SAVE OUR PLANET

Have a look at this video and see if you agree that we need to SAVE THE WORLD FROM OURSELVES !!

6th Year A (6ºA)

This year we are working on different appealing projects. Students use their originality and motivation to create astonishing posters about topics such as their favourite films, the islands they have visited or some attention-grabbing environmental issues.

Now they are preparing a poster in pairs about endangered species and they are really enjoying the project!

We are amazed by the creativity and motivation the students are showing.

We are also working on a science corner where students work in groups to produce their imaginative posters and mind maps.

4 Year Olds (4 años B)

Autumn is here so we (4 year olds - 4B) went on a trail around our school looking out for signs of Autumn. We collected lots of acorns, oak leaves, beech leaves, sycamore leaves, and a couple of blackberries! We also got to see a couple of donkeys. After our trail we went back to class and made some autumn trees out of cheese spread boxes, lots of fun finger paint and colourful bits of papers as leaves. As you can see we’ve got a great autumn collage in our classroom now to remember our fun day!!

1 ESO A

                          TIME FOR A SONG   Musico

In each project we listen to a song. We have the lyrics with some missing words and we have to complete them.
First, someone reads the song aloud to mark the blank spaces. Then, we listen to the song twice to try to fill in the missing words. After that, if we have time we listen to it again and sing it.Finally, in the next lesson we correct the exercise.
In the last project we listened to Sweet Dreams"by Beyonce. The song had 36 gaps but some of them were repeated.
In project one we listened to "On the floor"by Jennifer López, with just eight missing nouns.

In our opinion, songs are the best part of every project together with the orals because they are fun and because the lesson in which we listen to them we don´t have to be as concentrated as in other lessons. It is a "free studying"lesson.

Welcome

Welcome to the English Corner of Laude Palacio de Granda. In this space the children in the Bilingual Programme (infants - second year of secondary school) are going to show us what they know and more importantly what they can do.
As you know , in our school English is not used only in the actual English class . Science, Art and P.E are also being taught in this language as well as being a language that is heard throughout the school and at any time of the day.
To start with today and to get this show on the road, this space is going to be occupied by AMCO. AMCO is the method that we started at the beginning of the last school year in the first two years of Primary and which is having such tremendous results.

Well, that´s all for the moment. Watch this space ! you don´t want to miss anything !
