End of year project - Infants (5B and 5C)

It´s hard to believe that our time in Infants has come to an end. We have had an amazing year and learnt so much and although we are sad to say goodbye to our friends and teachers in infants we are ready to embark on our new adventure in Primary.
The five year olds decided that as an end to the year we would undertake a small project to keep us entertained in our last two weeks. The chosen topic  was English speaking countries around the world. Each five year old class was divided into teams and given a country to research. The countries that we chose to study were: England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Malta, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA, India and Jamaica.
With a little help from our families,  we looked up information, in some cases copied it out by hand,  printed out photos and brought them into class to put it with what our classmates had gathered. Once we had all the information, we divided it into parts: the flag, the climate, sports, dress, food and drink and famous places. Each team member was in charge of gathering and keeping all the information on one of the parts.

Once this was done it was time to put it all together on a mural. With a little help from our teacher we stuck on our photos and the information we had copied out by hand.

When this was done, we coloured the title, using the national colours of course.
Now it was time to talk about what we had learnt.

We all learnt a lot about the different countries and above all we worked as a team and had lots of fun doing it.
Thanks to the families who helped us out, it was greatly appreciated.
Happy summer holidays!
